Any chance we'll see any Black Friday deals this year for a 2018 MacBook Pro? I know last year we saw a little bit of a discount from BestBuy on the newest Pro's at the time.

I'm holding out till Black Friday as well, at the very least there should be vouchers from Apple (I think last year it was £120 with a mac)

B&H had the 2018 15 inch, 2.6 i7, 560x, 16gb, 512 SSD for $2,499....just ended Oct 31. I’d love to see it drop a couple of hundred down from that price over the holidays.

Don't forget that the MBP Radeon Pro Vega 16/20 GPU refresh is coming late November - right after Black Friday?

Does anyone know if the black friday gift cards (assuming apple do same deals as last year) are valid with the student discount?

Apple Retail support confirmed it could be a gift card code so you can add the black friday discount to the Education price at the time of purchasing online.

Apple's BF deals tend to be minor in comparison to what others do. I think other retailers that sell Macs may offer a more generous incentive. B&H Video, MicroCenter two retailers that in the past offered some significant savings.

Last year Apple gave 150 $ gift cards for black friday. If you add a +150 $ discount for education that’s more than 300 $ in savings. It’s a very big discount for an official store (and not cheap Apple prices)

If you want a significant discount and not have to wait for it, go for Apple refurbished.

Looks like BestBuy will have up to $250 off the Pros. I may cave for one of those.

They have BF deals going on right now on the MacBooks... I just left with a nTB i7 / 16 / 512 for $200 off....

Yeah I think I'm opting to get an open box for $2470 at my local bestbuy for the 15" i7/16/512
You can get a new “unopened” 2.6 i7/16/512 at Adorama for $2,499 and pay no sales tax (depending on your state). An option!

Are you sure that's the 2018 model?

https://www.adorama.com/acmr942lla.html

Looking at this link it shows $2599

Yes, it’s a 2018 model. Take a look at the following link, find the model you described and click the link to go to it on Adorama site. Enter the promo code: Scroll down to the bottom of the page (on the link below) and you’ll see a promo code to add on Adorama checkout that brings it down to $2,499. I think B&H would match this price if you asked them....if you like them better....still no sales tax. I just tried it....and the $2,499 price shows when you use the code.

The promo code: Enjoy $150 to $250 off qualifying Apple 2018 15-inch MacBook Pros with coupon code APINSIDER when used with the Adorama links in the price guide. Plus no sales tax on orders shipped to addresses outside NY & NJ. Prices displayed in this guide reflect any coupon and/or instant discounts. [Need Help?]
