For my order, it said it would be sent around 4 hours after items were shipped. For both text and email delivery.
Just got the email with the gift card. Check your emails.
They just took a bit longer.
And yes, you were correct, I think it was because the iPad shipped.
Target had extremely limited supply online. The 64/128gb cellular versions sold out within minutes around 330-4am eastern time. I had option of getting 16gb cellular around 415am when I ordered. But 16gb not enough space for me.
Target sold out of almost all versions by 7am eastern time. The cellular versions extremely difficult to get at target online (or physical store when they opened at 6pm). We hAve so many targets in orlando area but I only found 2 stores that had it and they are both 20 plus miles (plus toll roads) to get to for me. Not worth the gasoline and toll money and time for me.
I ended up with 64gb wifi model.
Looks like Best Buy just restocked online, go get 'em!

Best Buy student discount
Hey sorry if this was already mentioned but I was thinking about going to best buy to pick up an iPad Air 2. I was curious if anyone has been able to access the student discounts page for best buy. It won't let me get to that site anymore, they usually have like 50 dollars off an iPad purchase and I wanted to combine that with the sale today, and a movers coupon. I did that when I bought my iMac over the summer. Anyone have any advice if the student discount page is still up or did best buy take it down?

The iPad mini 2 (all models I think) was $75 off on Wednesday, it's now back to regular price.
If you can find one in stock somewhere, Target has them with a $100 gift card through tomorrow.
I just grabbed an iPad Air 2 Silver Wifi Only 64GB for $499 (before tax) on bestbuy.com. I am about to pick up it at my local bestbuy store. It will be a christmas gift for my youngest sister. I have had an Air 2 Gold 64 GB Cellular for the last month, and it is perfect.
Updated: I decided to return my 21 day-old iPad Air 2 Gold Cellular 64GB, and I use the amount of return credit to buy an iPhone 6 Space-Grey 16 GB T-mobile + leather case. Besides, I was also fortunate to grab an iPad Air 2 Gold Cellular 128 GB for $729.99 on bestbuy.com. In the end, I just ended in an iPad Air 2 Gold Cellular 128 GB (the same cost as my 64 GB one) and an iPhone 6 Space-Grey 16GB T-mobile Unlocked

I got the 64gb wifi model at target yesterday with the $140 gift card online. But really wanted the cellular 64gb model which was sold out at target.com.
I went to retail best buy looking to buy cellular model last night but lines were ridiculously too long. So I walked into Orlando area best buy this afternoon at 3pm and asked the front desk and they pulled out 64gb cellular iPad air 2 for me.
So now I will figure what to do with target wifi iPad air 2 64gb I got with the $140 gift card plus my 5% red card off.
Best buy just emailed me and said the iPad air 2 I bought is back ordered and should come between December 11 to 29. Does best buy order usually come later of or Earlier?
I'm sitting here with browsers open for Target, Best Buy and Walmart. Some stores like Target are offering discounts for all iPads. Well, it's a gift card but I do other shopping there so it's ok. And then there are stores that are only discounting select models. They might blow out a 16GB version pretty cheap to get people's attention but other configurations are at the regular price.
I picked up a 64GB Wifi Space Grey Air 2 for $499 last night at 7 pm at Best Buy. Walked in, asked of they had any in stock and was told no. I started walking away and was considering going to another BB when the guy comes back up to me & says someone decided against buying that model and handed in his claim ticket. I snatched it and bought it! Ended up costing me nothing overall. I had $200 in gift cards and sold my Air 1 64GB for $380 on Craig's. Sweet deal on an upgrade!
