Sam's club like Costco are both membership warehouse stores. However, Sam's club is owned by Walmart i think. Costco is not owned by Walmart.
AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint were all available. Sam's Club is also going to announce a special iPhone promotion on 11/15 for Black Friday. For what carrier? I know that ATT didn't offer that. They won't offer any deals without signing up for Direct TV![]()

I remember one year on BF for the 6S/6S+, Apple did a $50 discount and a $50 iTunes card so I ordered, but come to find out, I did not get the offer because I used an ATT installment plan.I would expect AT&T etc to offer an X with other services, throw in discount on an iPad or data plan.
Apple could easily do gift card to iTunes or Apple Store. The parts for X are half the cost. Apple does tend to do small $150 sized holiday deals.
I’m hoping costco does a similar deal as sams club for the X. I’m not really interested in the 8
Thanks, I was confusing Sam's Club with CostcoAT&T, Verizon, and Sprint were all available. Sam's Club is also going to announce a special iPhone promotion on 11/15 for Black Friday.
Looks like I will be an iPhone X owner after all by next week. I really don't like going to Walmart except for the supermarket but I figured why not?
Someone will buy that $300 gift card from me or I can just use it to buy a Nintendo Switch or Apple Watch. Think of it like buying an iPhone X and getting a Switch for FREE.
Here in MN no sams club I called even had the X in stock for the one day sale. It will be interesting to see what they do for Black Friday and if they have any available.FWIW, Sam's Club had a deal on the X last weekend. $300 Sam's Club gift card and activation fees waived with an installment purchase plan.
I'm sure there will be similar deals coming, although they probably will be few and far between.

For the past two or three years, Sam's has been running similar $250 to $300 gift card with free carrier activation deals (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint - no TMO) every year on the second Saturday in November for any iPhone in stock at the store you visit - first come, first served. Lines start early. They also generally offer similar deals on Samsung phones on that day or sometimes on another Saturday around that time.
One of the first things I do when I get a calendar for a new year is to always circle the second Saturday in November.
Sometimes another iPhone gift card deal is announced by Sam's a couple of days before BF, but sometimes without the free activation.
Wasn't interested in buying on Nov. 11 this year, but monitored the comments from those who did on another site to get tips for next year. Most Sam's seemed to have 0 to 2 or 3 Xs in stock. The rest were 7/7+ 8/8+, but not always in the storage capacities or colors that were the first choices of buyers.
Right. And, the Pixel 2 XL has screen issues. I have been reading all week about it on other sites, and I don't think I wanna go anywhere near it. I saw some people on their 3rd or 4th phone with multiple issues.I just called my local Walmart at Buena Park Mall and they won't have any iPhone X for this Black Friday to get the $300 gift card.
I think the Verizon 50% off deal on certain Androids including the Pixel 2 XL seems like the much better deal.
Pixel 2 XL (panda/128 GB) = $480
iPhone X (64 GB) = $700
P2XL has the better camera and battery life while X beats it in display and slightly better in speed with RAM management. The Verizon deal looks better if you plan to stay with them long term and don't mind bill credits.
Too bad. The Walmart deal with $300 gift card was one of the better ones for the X. No stock.
