Looks ugly to me, but to each his own. I won't be putting a case or screen protector on mine at all.

...why get a bumper? All it does is wrap stainless steel (which should be durable by itself) and it looks super clunky.

Because if you drop the phone, chances of you dropping it on the front or back flat are rare. If you drop it on the side, it will ass the extra cushion and avoid scratches. If you do happen to land it on it's front or back flat, it wont have any damage since it will only receive little to no impact since the bumpers hangs slightly over both sides. Great design innovation.

It does look cool. But all I can picture is a mucky, dirty white bumper. So I ordered black.

Looks sort of familiar...

I've had this case on my 3G for about a year now, the white actually stays cleaner looking than the black I had on before.

no offense but that's pretty ugly

I think when you get a colored iPhone bumper you should have to leave your nuts on the shelf when you exit the house. Or get a job on hgtv.

Looks great, just wish I could find a bumper somewhere within 1000 miles.

This is the only bad part of the i4 launch IMHO - the unavailability of bumpers. They are selling for 2x retail or more on Ebay.

I have a black one that I picked up on launch day. It's actually kind of growing on me. I also ordered a white & green one the day pre-orders started, so we'll see!

That makes me consider selling at least one of them when they come in on Thursday.

The bumpers just seem that they were designed with the white iPhone in mind as they go together much better.

....Too bad they were also designed with women and flamboyent men in mind as well.
