A little tip for black theme users.

The main reason I used this theme was the black menu bar. I like to use the black 2D dock, and the black menu bar just fits in really well. But I don't like the black window frames because you can't read the titles and it just looks odd with some applications. So I uninstalled the black theme and used Nocturne 2.0 instead.

This is the only place I found with Nocturne 2.0.

So, you turn off the menu bar transparency using the Secrets pref pane. Then open Nocturne and set your preferences just like these:

Now you'll have a black menu bar exactly like the one in my screenshot. I think it fits in really nice with the 2D dock.

And btw, I'm not trying to make competition for the black theme or anything like that, I'm just sharing my preferred way to get a type of black theme.

What happens when you open a Finder window with Nocturne running?

My experience has been that 'Invert Colors' with Nocturne…inverts colors. You have it set to Monochrome which would flip black to white and vice versa but it means you're running the entire system in black and white.

I do like my Black Theme, but I also want to see color in my apps and not inverted monochrome icons.

Just my take.

I don't have night mode enabled. Only the menu bar is effected.

There are no inverted colors. I am seeing exactly what you see on these screenshots.

I've seen no mention of the application "menu bar tint" so I'll put it out here.
I use this because I like a dark menubar with just a hint of shading and menu bar tint gives full control of shading and colors, plus it does a cool mouseover thingy.
