I was just messing around on Dell's site, here is the closes I could configure there computer to a Mac.

Black would be nice, but I don't think anything is as elegant as the silver aluminum. I'd say it'd depend on the color of your desk/furniture.I've seen black Lian li cases, but still prefer them in silver.
Exactly. Because of the form factor people tend to forget the mac pro uses server parts. Just because there are also quad core pcs doesn't mean the proc, board, and ram are remotely related.
I'm building a hackintosh to go along with my macs because apple won't make xmac, but I do it knowing full well the speed may be somewhat ball park close, but the parts aren't at all the same.
I wish Apple would release something like this for the Mac Pro.

ignoring 'shopped pics i guess for a real look at how a black Mac Pro would kind look check out the NewerTech Guardian Maximus.
I don't understand why Apple can't offer anodized aluminum cases since the Mac Pro is all aluminum. Kinda like the new iPod nano colors - now that would be sweet.
I can see them doing it to the iMac, before the Mac Pro. Two different markets we are talking about here.

Exactly, a major video editing company isn't going to care what colour the systems are, the proffesional sector probably makes up for a rather large section of Mac Pro sales.
The Mac Mini (if it's not dead) and the iMac would be more likely to see colourful incarnations before the Pro given the market it holds, as many other comments say.
