Black MacBook DVI to HDMI Question...

    If i have a Blu-ray Rip file on my Computer would i be able to view it and would it broadcast to my HD LCD TV in Blu-ray resolution???

    Yes, if the TV supports 1920 x 1080 pixel.
    Just make sure you have deselected "Mirror Displays" in System Preferences > Displays >> Arrangement and have set the TV to its native resolution, if that resolution is in fact 1920 x 108, as many HD TVs only have a resolution of only 1366 x 768 or something similar and the highest Blu Ray resolution is 1920 x 1080.

    Thanks and regardless it would obviously be way better than a standard DVD Rip file correct?

    Actually i think my TV is only 720p

    here is the specs for my TV

    Aspect Ratio 16:9

    Contrast Ratio 1600:1

    HDTV Built-in Tuner ATSC

    Response Time 8 ms

    Broadcast Format Supported 720p (HDTV)

    Broadcast Format Displayed 1080i

    It should, it depends on the rip and its settings.


    What model of TV do you have? Like Mitsubishi Colt 345xHD or so.
