iPad Pro Black marks on 11” iPad Pro and Apple Pencil

My iPad is 2 months old. The pencil and iPad show black marks where the pencil connects to the iPad. The marks are 2 parallel lines with a dark oval in between. This occurs twice on the pencil. Does anyone else have this issue? I find it frustrating. It’s not the quality I expect from Apple.

I had ever so slight marks, wiped them off, cleaned the iPad as well.

Some one reported these "marks" before. I suspect it is from grit between the iPad and the pencil. It will not wipe off when it get bad enough.
