I have a new iPad 9,7. Suddenly the safari menu bar has changed to a black background with white letters.
Annoying and hard to read.
Is there a way to change it back to the light color with black letters?
I have looked through all the safari settings and don’t see anything relative to this.
Thanks

You may have already tried this but fully powering off/powering back on may fix the issue if it is a bug. Is your iPad running the iOS 12 Beta?

Edit: It's also possible that you are currently browsing in private mode which does turn the search bar black and the text white.

Yes, I have tried full power off several times. No, I am not running the beta but 11.4.1
I don’t see how to control browsing in private mode in settings>safari.
I have compared my safari settings with my iPad pro 12,9 and they’re identical.
A really strange bug.

To check if you are browsing in private mode, click the tab switcher when in the safari app (bottom right corner and looks like two squares on top of each other). Then you will see a button labeled "Private" in the bottom left corner. Make sure that it is unselected. Hope that fixes the issue!
