I've always had black phones but considering switching to white..

Only someone very insecure about their own gender would claim that. White is a neutral color.

I'm personally sick of black n white options with the top end phones. I enjoy the garnet red color of my S3. Now I have to go back to the plain ol' black or white options with the S4.

Almost all the reviews made note of the pattern on the GS4, noting that while it was subtle on the white version, it is much more noticeable and tacky on the black. But again, that's their POV, I'll have to judge in person before I decide.

Unless you get yourself a Samsung flip cover in which case you have a choice of several other colours.

I always think about going white, I used my wife's white iPhone 5 for a few hours I couldn't wait to go back to the black iPhone.

I'm also curious how this pattern looks in person.

I went white for the S3 but will be going black for the S4.

It may show up fingerprints a bit more, but the bright colours of the AMOLED pop so much more against a black border than a white one.

EDIT: My cousin has a black S3, and every time I compare them, his display always seems to stand out that bit more.
