Thanks, I'd be interested to know

No, just tried flicking between OS's a few times, Windows 7 boots in 14 seconds from selecting the windows boot disk to the OS being available to use, which is identical to the speed of my old desktop. Seems to be fine here. Same for a Windows reboot.

I don't know what's gone wrong to cause such long Windows boot times for me, I've tried various things to repair the MBR etc. but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Black Screen in Bootcamp Win 7

Hello,

I have had same issue. Loaded Win 7 Ultimate under Bootcamp on a 10.8 iMac. Gets so far and black screen, end of story, done. Tried 5 times, restoring the partition, tried both 64 and 32 bit Win 7, same story.

Boots to mac fine.

Loaded Parallels per one of the posts here, pointed it to the Bootcamp partition. Ran a permission repair on system. Boots Windows no problem and does all the updates under Parallels with no issues.

Hold down Option on bootup, and it takes forever to show me the bootable partitions. Windows does show up. But, when I click to boot into it, it starts, then boom, black screen. Done. Have to force a shut down, and reboot to the mac side.

If I check in Start Up Disks in Sys Prefs, Windows is listed.

Any other ideas? At this point I am not sure the problem is on the mac or with Windows. NO errors.

Thanks,

Lisa
