With my cMP from mid 2010 it go's not so good anymore.
Sinds more than a year I use a Sapphire RX580 I have installed 10.13, 10.14 and 10.15, also Bootcamp/Windows on a separate HDD.
10.13 is on a ssd in bay 1.
The problem is when I like to choose another start-up disk it takes more than 1 minute before I can give my password and making choice for that in system preference. Also for example when I like to start VLC, sometimes it takes about 45 seconds before something happens.
Somebody here on this website told me it is the SP-1 chip you'll have to change. So I order this chip and waiting to get.
After that I read with'Open-core' you get the start-up screen as before with the original GPU, I try to get this, but it go's wrong and now I get only a black screen.
I try already PRAM erasing waiting for the chime 4x but without any result.
When start up, start-up screen shows up, I can make choice for ssd, or recovery, after apple logo and progrss bar shows up for half away.
When I put back the original GPU, everything is working, but I can not use my 4K screen.
What can I do to get my Sapphire working again?
