iPad Black screen flicker when switching between apps- ios8

Hey. Since upgrading my Air to iOS 8, I occasionally get the screen flickering black when swiping between apps. It's like the system locks for a tiny pause. Very occasionally it stays on a black screen for a second or so, locked up.

It starts happening occasionally, but when it does it flickers often.

Switching auto brightness makes no difference.

Anyone else having this issue?

i wonder if they have tried to fix the reloading problem and this is how they have managed to fix it... because many have noticed that the system freezes for a second when jumping between apps/tabs.

Its definitely worse behavior than the slight freeze / pausing (which I also get). It's like it it is associated with the same problem, just further down the rabbit hole.

Anyhow, I had background refresh off. I've turned this back on and am testing to see if the problem persists.

Nope, background refresh doesn't change anything.
