I dropped my phone and now all I get is a black screen.

I have tried holding the off and home button and nothing. It has been nearly 12 hours now. Twice I have found if I leave it for an hour or two then hold the off button, I will briefly get the silver apple, but then it dies again.

My phone is garbage now, isn't it?
It is not one I can take and exchange at Apple :(

Please help!!!!!!

here's a little more info...it's looking worse and worse...
When plugged into the computer the phone is not detected by itunes.
When I toggle the silent button the phone does not vibrate.

You need to find a local repairer to fix this - I don't believe there is an easy home fix for this.

you might try to restore the phone. the motherboards dont like hitting the ground. you may also end up taking it to apple for an out of warranty repair. they will give you a referbished one for $199

you may have a connector lose inside but I doubt it. thats a deal that someone that knows what they are doing will have to just work on it for awhile but no promises!
