iPhone SE (2016) Black SE same color and shade as space grey 8?

Are the back and sides of the 2020 black iPhone SE the same color and shade as the back and sides of the space grey iPhone 8?

I know the the back and sides of the 2020 white iPhone SE is not the same color and shade as the back and sides of silver iPhone 8? The backs are different shades of white.

Does anyone here have both a 2020 black iPhone SE and a space grey iPhone 8? If so, can you please confirm whether or not the back and sides of the 2020 black iPhone SE are the same color and shade as the back and sides of the space grey iPhone 8?

There not close to one another. One is BLACK and one is a dark grey. I’m being a little sarcastic they’re close, but it is a noticeable difference

They’re both going to look gray in specific lighting. However, the SE resembles closer to black than the iPhone 8.

I think the SE black is identical to the iPhone XR/11 black. Which is not truly black like the iPhone 4/4s/jet black iPhone 7.

I don’t own the iPhone SE 2, but my ‘work phone’ is the iPhone 8 Plus. And the best way to describe that color of the 8 Plus is almost like a ‘milky gray’. It literally changes a slightly different hue of gray based on the lighting, but it’s a very dusk, milky/dusty gray shade, but it’s definitely not just your standard black per se.

No the new SE is a deep black aluminum, like the iPhone XR or 11 black colour

the iPhone 8 is more of a dark gunmetal grey, similar to the space grey Apple Watch

personally I like the iPhone 8 Colour more. It’s got a nicer tone vs the more “boring” black on the SE, but That’s all personal preference

it’s a nice Deep black but it’s just bland to me. The iPhone 8 has that perfect gunmetal look to it, and its the colour I wish the space grey iPhone 6s was
