Black spots on iphone 4 Band

Has anyone else experienced this? Due to a case scratching the band, it has been left with little black spots in some areas. Has anyone had/has this?

Without a picture it's hard to say, but are these tiny spots, the size of a pin-prick?

Yes, they are quite small.

I had an iPhone 4 that I used an Apple bumper on that eventually scratched the bumper all over. I sold it and the bought a 4S and have nothing on it now.

Yes, mine are a little bit bigger though, have you had any luck removing them?
