Do you think the link bracelet will handle well with sand ?
Likely not. Mainly sand could be entrapped between the links, clasp and in the fasteners where the links connect. It could be problematic.

Totally agree, the sports band would be best down the beach.

Another good advice!!I love my SBSS and the link bracelet is such an awesome statement, it's so sexy and my favorite watch band ever. I'd say get the SBSS with link and then just buy a sports band for beach visits or even the nylon band those are really nice as well.
You have excellent advice from others in this forum. The majority including myself recommend you to get SB SS with SB link bracelet and additional band: sport band to use for gym and beach.Hi !
I still cannot decide between these two options for the AW 2:
My future use of the AW:
- Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Space Black Link Bracelet
- Watch Edition (Ceramic)
- Day to day use
- Gym training and outside running and swimming
- Going to the beach in the summer
What do I value:
I think that the option 1 is the most beautiful , but I am uncertain about scratch resistance (mainly in the gym) and I can afford the price difference.
- Longevity
- Scratch resistance
- Beauty
Can you help me choose ?
Thanks !!
Good advice!!

Thanks for your advises ! Gonna buy todat the AW2 SB SS with SB link bracelet and a sport band for gym and beach use.
A merry christmas for all !
The only other Edition was pulled likely due to sales and price point affordability. The Ceramic Edition is far more affordable and practical with the ceramic. 18 Karat gold isn't exactly ideal for fitness, being its a soft metal.
The comment above is totally correct.Or the price lol.
We are so glad to be able to help you out. You would love SBSS like all of us here.it looks more elegant, classy and professional than ceramic. Thanks for your advises ! Gonna buy todat the AW2 SB SS with SB link bracelet and a sport band for gym and beach use.
A merry christmas for all !

Just as an FYI, if you want 38mm, Best Buy is selling the original 38mm space black with link bracelet for $399. New, not refurb. Thanks for your advises ! Gonna buy todat the AW2 SB SS with SB link bracelet and a sport band for gym and beach use.

That's a good deal as the bracelet itself sells for $549. If you decide you do like the watch, you could later on buy a series 2 SBSS with a sport band and 'throw away' the original watch body. You'd still have saved money.
Just an option, but only 38mm.

@Relentless Power That is a lot of money, apple watch is not worth that money,I can buy two new iPhone 5s for that moneyWhile back, I actually purchased the stainless 42 mm Apple Watch with the leather loop for $350.00 from Best Buy. One of the best deals I've seen on an Apple Watch to date.

Above is excellent analysis!!OK, let count the points.
Day to day use - both are good, but the lighter the better. Not just less weight on your hand, but for the same haptic engine, the lighter watch gives you better vibration. So less chance to miss any notification. (1 point for Edition)
Gym... - again, the lighter the better (1 point for Edition)
Go to beach - a watch with DLC coating should be the better choice (1 point for SBSS)
Longevity - more or less the same, but again, I assume DLC coating can do better (1 point for SBSS)
Scratch resistance - DLC coating should win (1 point for SSBS)
Beauty - that's very personal, I like the white looking of the Edition, but personally I still choose the SBSS because it suit me more on almost any situation. e.g. A very simple analog watch face on the SBSS (with the stock link band), fit almost any formal dressing. On the other hand, a white smart watch may be harder to fit in. (1 point for SBSS).
So......
Edition 2 points
SBSS 4 points
SBSS win!
I already stated that. If you re-read my post, I stated the Edition was pulled due to price point affordability and sluggish sales.
Relentless Power quoted: "The only other Edition was pulled likely due to sales and price point affordability. The Ceramic Edition is far more affordable and practical with the ceramic. 18 Karat gold isn't exactly ideal for fitness, being its a soft metal."
Agree on the above comment!!The Series 2 is honestly what series 0 should have been!
