I'm getting major throwback to my earlier AMOLED screen phones.
Just noticed my Pixel has those infamous streaks. Those used to be earlier generation AMOLED like the Galaxy Nexus. Especially visible on grey backgrounds?!
I thought manufacturers fixed these issues.
    Anyone else see these?
Test to see on your Pixel use the Tapatalk app in dark mode and you will see it on the background grey.
Once you see you can't "unsee"
I just want to smoke sure I'm not a isolated case before deciding what to do about it.
    Thanks.

I can see them in badly lit situations in combination with the dark mode. To be fair they are not prominent at first glance. I notice it more as I read through posts etc. The sections of the screen that are grey without text. They are thin vertical lines. Like black lines on grey backgrounds.
Anyway I hope it's just mine and not a widespread things. Saves you all the hassle.

    No retention here.
    I'm talking about streaks.
Should we be expecting some in this day and age or would you suggest trying for RMA.
It does bother me as I use phone in situations where I notice it.
Worse case is return for a refund if it is a widespread issue.

If the expensive device had 'any' screen issue that raised a question, I would RMA tbh. We're talking premium devices, you have the right to therefore expect premium hardware quality.

That is a shame, I get the feeling Samsung sells lower quality AMOLED Displays to other Manufacturers and keep the best quailty ones for themselves. I hope that is not the case here.

Well that does appear to be the case when all other panels seem to never reach the quality of the Galaxy flagships ...

I have until 9th Jan for my return period.
Once the holiday period is over I will try to RMA.
I really like the phone so not thinking of returning it.. just exchange.
Also the white bezel has grown on me.
The phone hasn't skipped a beat since I have had it. Very well impressed.

    Congratulations on the upgrade mate.
I am fully using the unlimited Google Photos perk so I'm for once happy with 32gb.

So an update, have taken MRU's advice and gone for RMA. The process was smooth and I love that chat function. Very convenient.
    Hopefully replacement device is better.
Other than the streaks issue I'm loving the Pixel!
