So I have the Blackbook 2.4 and Photoshop CS4 runs fine - but I seem to have problems with Illustrator and Flash.

Illustrator CS4 (and CS3) always had problems opening up jpeg files ~ and this are small size jepgs (100kb via 450kb) It would always say that there is not enough memory or something along that lines.

As for Flash CS4 - Everytime I try to edit .fla files, Flash would not respond (beachball) for a few seconds. Even a simple click would make it lag. But when I play .swf files, it responds flawlessly.

    250gb HDD - 4gb Ram.

Any ideas? How would you think the 2.53 MBP would handle these kind of stuff?

Any chance this is a CS4 vs. Snow Leopard issue? I assume you've run all available software updates for both your MB and the Adobe suite?

Your machine is plenty capable of handling Flash and Illustrator CS4. Something else is amiss here.
