My 2.5 yr old blackbook is still going strong, but the screen is marked by imprints of the keys that I guess rub when its closed.

Would applecare cover the screen replacement?

cheers

John

I'm sure they can be cleaned off.

If the screen's matte I would not bet on it? At least with the MBP (CD) I used to have the "scuffmarks" would not go away.

You can ask your local service provider, but I'm pretty sure they are going to call it normal wear.

scuff marks..

I suspect thats what they'll say. It's got some cracked plastic also on the case which should be covered so I'll ask them.

I don't think that the marks will clean off - I've tried a microfibre cloth and wouldn't want to use anything abrasive.

I've also got a 5 yr old power book, and the screen is as pristine as when it was new - I guess it's due to the design.

thanks for the advice though.
