So my BlackBook is horribly slow. I reformatted it, and I swear, it's actually slower now than it was before I reformatted. My RAM is maxed out. I'm not replacing my computer until MacBooks with USB are released. Is there anything else in the interim I could do that would boost my computer's speed? Would upgrading the HDD help?

Macbooks have had USB for a long time....

Are you sure your system recognizes all 4gb of ram? Chech your "About This Mac" and make sure it shows 4gb. Your next best bet would be a SSD (lots of money) or go with a large 7200rmp harddrive.

7200rpm HD will make a difference, or a SSD. 7200.4 500gb Seagate is the fastest notebook drive out there that isn't SSD, for now.

Sorry, I meant USB 3.

And my computer's one of the pre-SR ones; it only takes 2 GB of RAM.
