So I will try to describe this as best as I can. I am using a blackbook purchased in America here in Belgium where i'm vacationing. I try to connect to the internet router at my fathers house. What i do is i go to the airport icon in the menu bar select the network, enter in the password, it connects with all bars for a second, then i get no bars and it says the connection timed out. I've restarted my computer but have not fiddelded with the router because I don't wanna kill the internet here and will probably not do anything to the router as I'm only staying here a week. Help me please, and thanks for any posts back

When you brought your laptop along, did you re-configure the router to allow two connections to access the internet first? In my experience, that's what you have to do.

Phone up the ISP and tell them you have a mac and make them walk you through the configuration.
