I'm trying to install Leopard on my early 2003 PowerBook G4 12" but I don't have a way to write dual layer discs. Well, I found a Leopard install image that someone made that fits on single layer discs and supposedly works on PowerPC Macs. I tried burning it on Windows 7 with Transmac but that wasn't bootable so I figured I'd try burning it on the PowerBook. Well, after waiting 4 hours for the image to download over WiFi with the 17 year old WiFi card, I found out that this thing refuses to accept blank DVDs. It'll go in, seem to think for about 15 seconds, then eject the disc. Discs burned on another PC from the same stack of discs are accepted and can be read. How can I burn a DVD on my PowerBook? I've also noticed that not all DVDs are able to boot. A Tiger DVD I burned booted fine and so did a Debian DVD, but my Lubuntu and Ubuntu discs refused to boot. Sorry if I broke any rules, made an account just to post this. Posted from my PowerBook!
