Blank screenshot after edit iOS 11.2

Is anyone experiencing an issue where the screenshot is sent as a blank screenshot if you edit the screenshot before sending?

For example, if I take a screenshot and share it via iMessage it sends fine, but if I make any markings or add any text to the image and then try to share it via iMessage, only the markings and/or text show in the screenshot sent. The image is blank.

I've had this problem before. I'm having issues with screenshots in general. Sometimes i don't get any indication that a screenshot was even taken -- i'll press both buttons and nothing will happen, but the screenshot will be in my photos. Sometimes, when I markup a screenshot from the thumbnail (when it does appear) the markups or croppings don't save. I've reset all settings, and now I have a completely different phone (although I did restore from backup) and still have the same issue. I wonder if it's related to whats happening to you.
