Misleading? You mean misleading like Steve Jobs standing in front of a packed MacWorld crowd pitching the virtues of staying the course with G5 and telling everyone about the "megahertz myth" while simultaneously re-designing Macs to run on Intel processors?

Yes, I agree with the ad. My MacBook with 4GB didn't work all that well with SN.

Putting in 8GB from Crucial sorted it out fairly quickly.

My MacBook Pro is running just fine w/ 4 GB on Snow Leopard. Saying that you need at least 8 GB to run Snow Leopard is silly. Snow Leopard's minimum requirements are 1 GB RAM, I don't believe for a moment that you'll need 8 TIMES THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT to run well. If you do, there's something else wrong with your Mac.
