I love Blu-Ray and now going back to watching things on ordinary DVD seems pretty drab....

Blu-ray is great and all, but I already have a huge library of DVDs, and blu-rays cost more.

Plus, the main TV in my house is only capable of 720p anyway.

I still don't care for Blu-Ray. Everyone looks like they're made of plastic. It's weird and creepy-looking, and one tech thing I'll be skipping.

I haven't noticed anything like that

One area where you don't want Blu Ray is porn. I've had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing that in HD...they need to stick to standard def for that.

I guess I'm the lone weirdo. It just looks hyper-real, as in not real at all.

I'm sure you can see where people have shaved and all that (razor burn, bumps, etc). That's not a good thing.

Wow this thread has derailed... :D

Here in Dallas, Blockbuster's HQ, I haven't noticed any stores closing. But, with this news, they could be next. Most everything else is closing, no more Hollywood Video at all. We do have a fairly new Family Video though, but I haven't been there to check it out. I am starting to see the Redbox things popping up all over too.

I can't remember the last time I was in a physical video store. I get almost all of my movies online whether it be by computer, through my PS3, or using Uverse On-Demand. It's just so much more convenient. I do have fond memories of the good ole' days when I would rush out of the house at 11:45 PM in my PJ's to return a movie to the store before midnight. :p

Yes. That. Sweat. Warts (hopefully not herpes). The works.

Fellas, fellas... I ask about children's movies and now this?!:D

My only advice, spend the money on the well made stuff. It's worth it. These low budget "bang bang" films shouldn't be allowed in HD. It's just vulgar.;)
