Anyone know of a way to block anonymous calls in iOS 8?

I know how to block calls, but the anonymous calls don't send their number, so there's no option to block a number." I also read about making a contact titled "anonymous" but apparently this trick only words with iOS 7.

Help is appreciated!

The only suggestion I can make is to set Do Not Disturb to allow notifications from your contacts, then toggle it on when you want to restrict the callers.

Unfortunately it will also filter out callers you might want but aren't in your contacts.

Perhaps someone else knows a better way.

And unfortunately it will also filter out pretty much all other notifications from anything else as well.

Too bad there isn't a better (and even official) way to deal with these types of things.

They should add an option in do not disturb like "do not accept anonymous calls". Maybe senting feedback will help

An option to block anonymous callers would be great. Unfortunately I don't think Apple respond to feedback.
I have sent feedback on certain things since iOS 7 ( over a year now ) and nothing has changed.

ie:- Collapsed Albums in Music App
Proper chronological order ( not reversed )
All Day Events not showing in Notification Centre
Timer showing as 00:00 on Lock Screen when clock is set to am/pm Mode ( UK TIMEZONE )

I'm afraid it's the Apple way or the highway.

Well this isn't for anonymous calls, but I use a silent ringtone for any caller I have added to my DO NOT ANSWER contact. This was before Apple had the option to block a number.
