Blocking contact on latest Mavericks update. Messenger

It says on the latest mavericks update that you can block a contact on messenger. (The way that you could on iPhone before but was pointless because it would come through on messenger).....Anyways I tried but "block" user is greyed out. Anyoneknow how?

Go to Messages, Preferences, Accounts, (your iMessage account) you will see a tab for "blocked" Here you can add a number to your blocked list.
