I'm getting really frustrated with these stupid pop-ups that warn you that your computer has a virus or some other ailment that can only be fixed by calling them. I know the procedure for clearing it once it occurs, but that involves losing any other Safari tabs/windows that were open at that time. I've noticed that Safari will display a checkbox that says "don't show any more alerts for this page" or something like that, but apparently the scammers have found a way around that, as yesterday I got caught in the same kind of endless pop-up loop even after checking that checkbox.

Is there a plugin that will stop these alert boxes from appearing in the first place?

Thanks... I'll check out those extensions. But is blocking a pop-up window the same thing as an alert box?
