    Hey,

I have a blog that I use as some sort of a diary. I've had problems where the server of the blog deleted my account, and I lost all my posts.

I'm wondering if there are some 3rd party freewares that can manage my blog offline for me. I could save my blogs as document files, but once you have a few posts, because the documents are not sorted by time and stuff, you start to have too many files in the folder, and it becomes unorganized.

Does anybody know any good solution to this problem?

    Thanks!

You have a full blown web server on your Mac already. You can just install Wordpress or whatever blogging software you use online (provided it's not a service like Blogger). Then you can keep the files locally rather than hosting online (assuming that since it's a diary you don't really want it public). With a little work you can even sync the two together (not an automated process - involves exporting the data base from one and importing it to the other - messy but you end up with an online version and an offline backup).
