YOU need battery life and ports. I need thinner and lighter. I actually carry my MacBook around with me, and I never plug it into anything but the charger.

Exactly. We don’t need anything as a collective. Certain people have certain needs and they’re not all the same. There’s a market for a heavy pro level laptop and there’s also a market for a lightweight user level laptop. Many people just browse the web and open a few office documents. They don’t need 32 GPU cores ?

Apparently it will be 7% thinner than the current model and in white.

Based on those pictures there showing the same ports and over all IMHO not worth upgrading for. New model have to have it. There should be a survey of what model and configuration do you own and do you even come close to using it processing wise for what it was developed for. If I could sell my current MBA and not loose allot of money I'd do it.
