Weird. I just watched the whole thing on Safari (Updated latest).

One thing I didn't know: That liver transplant saved his life. If he was gone, we probably wouldn't see tablets for another few years.

Can anyone say, approximately, when this signature outfit started? Has he been seen wearing something different in recent history?

I did end up watching it in Firefox. Thanks all. Flash seldom works on Safari, as I never got 4 on Demand to work on it either.

The show was very good. It was like an updated version of "Triumph of the Nerds" with an older version of Bob Cringley.

Please step out of the reality distortion field. There were tablets, as a general category, on the market before Jobs even got liver cancer... let alone nearly died of it. Second, the iPad have been evoling in the labs for long time. iPhone/Touch is a artifact of progenitor iPad R&D.

Even if Apple didn't release the iPad there were several "pads" (purely touch screen ) coming in the near term pipeline.

Has to be said tho Johny Ive is arguably the second most important person at Apple after Jobs.

how old is that picture? i know this has been beaten to death but you think that is the same black shirt and levis he still wears today :D

Played fine in Safari for me. Watching "Welcome to Mac" now,wow my friday nights are just crazyyyy. :p

This is why I always recommend FF to mac users, not as the main browser, but it is solid, mature, and ultra compatible with everything. Some of the plugins really rock too.

I believe there is an inaccuracy in the video. It says that the iMac is the best selling computer of all time with 6 million units. This is false, as the best selling computer of all time is the Commodore 64 with 17 million units. I may have misheard the video though.

Certainly can't disagree with that, I just don't care for FF's UI on the Mac. With that I just used Safari and downloaded it to watch it later. :)

same safari issue, latest version, am astonished that i am allowed to watch this in the UK. BBC iPlayer would not let USA watch.

also astonished as to how Bloomberg TV (possibly other american channels) tries so insanely hard to make a documentary sound dramatic, its like the movie trailer guy is doing overtime. british TV doesn't have that guy, instead heads documentaries and news stories with someone trying their best to sound serious but usually just sounds annoyed, also trumpets, must have trumpets.

Good vid.

Its kinda funny how microsoft and bill gates saved apple by investing so much money in them, after steve returned to the company.

They generally don't do major organ transplants unless you're going to die within 6 months without it.

Doesn't always ultimately save your life either, in many cases it just buys you some time before the transplanted organ is rejected by the body, in which case that's generally it for you.

Uh... yeah. They were selling like crazy, too.

Oh, wait. They weren't. FAIL.

Worked on my MBP Safari, don't know what the others are talking about.

Thank goodness I've been a Mac guy for past 20+ years... what a ride :)
