For the love of god please can this be the last version of macOS to be 10.x? Once they switch to Arm based Macs just use that as the excuse to call it macOS 11.0

Did you watch Rene Ritchie’s video on changing the naming scheme? I’ve really never heard anyone complain about the 10.x nomenclature until now.

Why would a new Apple TV be needed? 8K? The only reason for a new Apple TV that I see is an Apple TV that also serves as a Wi-Fi mesh router.

Would be a bad idea - the locations where your TVs are located are seldom the optimal locations to place mesh points.

I did not see that video, but this has been a complaint of mine for way longer than it should have been lol. I've been talking to my fiends for forever of when they'll finally change it to 11. First I thought it would be when they add touch to their desktops (before Apple made their stance on that) and then I thought after they run out of cat names, then I thought after 10.9, and then FINALLY my last guess I could think of was when they switch to their own chips. And now as of today, it has been confirmed that is finally the case. Big Sur is officially macOS 11, and now they can finally get rid of that stupid 10.x name lol. This is literally the dumbest complaint I've ever had but damn I've wanted to see this for so long, and finally it's here.
