Good morning, I am new on here so apologies if in the wrong thread. I have a 2015 iMac 27 non 5k which when in sleep mode blows the plug top fuse and now it has started doing this even in screensaver mode. Tried a new power lead plus different locations including another property so have eliminated every possible cause. I see on other forums this is an issue in some instances. Does anyone have any ideas, is it worth a repair attempt or do I buy new. The spec is high on this model so there is some reluctance but cost of repair I imagine could be quite high. Thanks for any help with this.

Bad power supply inside...?

Hmmm....
What happens if you TURN OFF "sleep"?
Can it boot and run normally that way?

If I turn off sleep it would run fine until a few days ago and now even when the screensaver comes on it blows a fuse. If I replace the fuse it will come on and work but just unable to let it sleep or sit with screensaver on.

Last week it did blow a fuse when I was in the middle of web browsing

When you say "blow a fuse", do you mean your HOUSE fuses (if you have them)?
Or... something else?

The plug top fuse. Supply is fine coming in and apart from trying the iMac on different outlets in the house I have also tried at a different property and it does exactly the same. I have seen this issue in other forums previously and it is possibly a capacitor or the CPU causing the issue.
