SO I bought the Lite-On blu-ray reader HERE
loaded up the PowerDVD 8 disc it came with, did the upgrade, activated it, etc.


AND IT WON"T PLAY ANYTHING I HAVE :mad:

THE MOST POWERFUL ELECTRON MICROSCOPE IN ALL EXISTENCE CANNOT MEASURE HOW MUCH OF A DAMN I GIVE ABOUT COPY PROTECTION CONCERNING STUFF I'VE PURCHASED!


Workaround?

Can't say I encountered this problem since the Pioneer BDR-205 I bought didn't come with any software; I heard the version 8.0 that came with a lot of drives were crap and I ended up purchasing PowerDVD Ultra 9.0 and haven't had any problems; I see Cyberlink is already on version 10 w/3D support(woo:rolleyes:).

oh hey, I found another thread that led me to makemkv.

working great :)
