    3) Comment - I love aapl the company/stock/mr steve jobs - but I just dont understand why mr jobs said blu ray is a "bag of hurt" - i guess millions of people who use blu ray are in a bag of hurt?

If you want to watch blu-ray movies without hassle, buy a standalone blu-ray player. I have a player, and a BD drive for my PC. Sure, I can rip discs using makeMKV and play them through my ATV or on my Mac but for the best experience, a budget standalone player can't be beaten. Playing BDs on Windows isn't easy - ripping works well enough and you can do the same on OSX but playing the discs directly is a pain so I don't bother.

The bag of hurt is to do with licensing the decryption systems put in place to prevent piracy. The current blueray solutions for osx basically rip the disc, bypassing the decrypt and stream it to mplayer.
I've used the one you linked to and it's ok, it wont work on every disk though because the ripping component only works on some disks.
Steve not been known to go back on his word, so native blueray is not going to happen. Eventually someone may release a proper blueray playback app the decrypts the disks as they are supposed to.
