I have a blue and white yosemite and it's running os 9.2 with 448MB of ram (64MB+(3)128MB). I was wondering if it would make much difference to buy two 256MB sticks of ram. Since there are only 4 ram slots, I would then have 768MB. Would this have a noticeable performance in the computer(448MB to 768MB). I will be running some design programs, such as photoshop, illustrator and quark. I was planning to upgrade the OS to panther as well. Would 448MB of ram be sufficient to run panther?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Its going to be fine as it is. The specs in my B&W are basically the same and i dont notice it.

How much are you going to be purchasing this ram for? Thats the real deciding factor in this one.
