Im often seeing a blue question mark instead of an image. This could be when viewing images on forums, or in emails.

This has been happening for a long time on my 2012 MacBook pro, so not specifically Sierra related, but does anyone know how to resolve this please?

Heres a small screenshot of an email that is showing the blue question mark..

Looks like it is unable to render remote items.

I get this in thunderbird email but it allows me to show remote items.

Maybe a preference in the mail app you are using?

Thanks. It's not just Mail, happens when looking at images posted by people on forums such as this one as well.

I've read of others experiencing the same issue but I've never found a fix that works.

Then might indicate a missing plug in the the browser your using

flash plugin missing or java.

If across the board then I'd say a plugin but i'm no expert just my observations from stuff we see at work.
