Will Blue-Ray be a part of Mac's system in the near future???
Doubtful. BR doesn't really have the market penetration to warrant having the hassle of having it as an option to be installed on the assembly line.
Apple also likes to lag behind when it comes to optical disk media. Don't they still ship computers without a DVD burner?
...is spelt "Blu-Ray". And there are TONS of threads on this already if you do a quick search. To sum them up, no one knows. Could come with the next Macbook Pro revision, or Apple could refuse to offer it so as to force its users to try HD movies from iTunes. Again, no one knows.
Thanks, it's late and I'm on a film set, we're about to wrap and everyone is wondering about Blu-Ray. Thank you for your quick response. I'll be the speaker for the 200 people asking Mac questions. Thanks again.
Wish I had actual information to give you. I think a lot of people on here wish that there was some concrete timetable we could point you to. Fact of the matter is that the MBP should have a Blu-Ray BTO right now.
