Hi,

I have been searching but I couldn't find an answer.

My situation is my Macbook Pro got hard disk corruption according to the disk utility. I repaired it with the disk utility in the installation DVD and now I can only boot to the safe mode. All the data files remain intact in the safe mode. If trying to boot in normal mode, the machine freezes on the blue screen.

Now I can set my Pro in target mode and my other Mac can see it as a drive. I wonder if I make a Time Machine of my problematic Pro now, after reinstalling the OS, will I be able to restore it properly using the Time Machine backup --- the backup that is made after the file corruption?

Meanwhile, I have been backing it up in Time Machine via target mode to another host Mac and from there to the external QNAP NAS which supports natvie Time Machine.

Any helps/insights are greatly appreciated..
