After trying to install BootCamp I decided that I wouldn't bother and would probably buy a new Vista copy at a later date instead of XP, so deleted the partition that BootCamp created.
I never noticed this before, but now when I boot my MacBook Pro the grey screen appears, then the Apple logo, then it 'flicks' through two or three blue screens, before finally loading the wallpaper.

Is this normal?

im not sure, but after the grey screen mines goes to the blue then boots into leopard aswell.so id like to know aswell lol

Maybe its resizing the screen resolution?

I'd check your system log in the console app to see if there is something there that is causing that problem.
