blue sport band feels sticky

hello all
just got the blue sport band from a family member that came to visit from USA
where i live there is no apple store...
the band feel somewhat sticky unlike my white and black sport bands
anything i can do to change that?

Wash it wish mild soapy water and rinse. I noticed this with my green band. Felt and smelt exactly like release agent.
