Ok so I have a black MacBook but have found that with the things that I am doing with it I might need to upgrade, so I was planning on upgrading to the new 15 inch MacBook Pro. But then heard that BlueRay won the war of the HD DVDs and thought that it would be cool to have my new Pro have a blueray drive in it, does anyone know if Apple plans on doing this anytime soon? If not then I might as well go buy it later this week. Thanks.

No. Not until next year. Well... the MacBook Pros might get it by the end of this year...

Not before the Mac Pros. This is all that you need to know.

That blows. So do you think that it would be worth it to just get one sooner rather than later? How much do external blue ray drives cost?

I don't think it's worth it to get one at all, unless you need backups.

You can get slot-loading Blu-ray drives for the MacBook Pro and iMacs for an exorbitant amount online, but you'll need to do the installation. External drives are cheaper, but you can't watch movies, anyway. You can only use them for data in OS X.
