Bluetooth 4.0 upgrade Macbook Pro early 2011

So I've just downloaded Yosemite and iOS 8 and really interested in the new hand off and continuity features but it needs bluetooth 4.0 which early 2011 Macbook Pros don't have. I have ordered this part off eBay which is compatible and seems an easy installation.

Was wondering if this will work or has anyone performed this upgrade themselves ?

There's a HUGE thread on the Yosemite forum that covers this. As long as the card says CAX in the end, you are good. Just did this today and it works.

Issues with updating macbook pro to bluetooth4.0

Hi, I installed new card with CAX code at the end and followed these instructions but my bluetooth is not working and cannot see handoff option in system preference.

Can you please tell me step you took when you updated yours?I am not sure if downloaded correct kext file from internet or not.
