Is it iOS 10 or the iPhone 7+ that has the problem with audio stuttering when streaming music to a car via Bluetooth? Sometimes it will stop playing all together and my BMW will revert back to radio.

Anyone experiencing this with iOS 10 on a 6, 6S, etc.? I'm hoping it's not a problem with the Bluetooth chip in the 7/7+.

I did not have the problem on my 6+ after the update but sure have it on my 7+ two sets of earbuds and the same thing. one way to stop it for a bit is to play audio through the speaker for a bit. i get it when I am interacting with my watch and listening at the same time.

I'm experiencing the same issue with the iPhone 7 and my BMW.
There is open thread on apple discussions about this issue:

According to latest replies, the 3rd beta of iOS 10.1 is resolving the issue.
I personally haven't tried iOS 10.1 on my iPhone 7.

I have no problem streaming Bluetooth to my car. However after updating to ios 10 on my 6+ I got constant shuddering with Bluetooth audio via headphones. Same problem on my 7+.

Ios10 broke something

No issues with bluetooth streaming to my Ford Edge with iPhone 7+. Additionally no bluetooth issues from iPhone 7+ to multiple bluetooth speakers and headphones.

Just started having Bluetooth connectivity issues with beta 3 - 2012 Ford Escape with Nav (Sync). Phone pairs, but disconnects as soon as you try to make a call or play music.

I experienced this just recently in a Chrysler minivan (rental). Glad I'm not the only one.

My adapter in my car is famous for truncated the intros to songs. I bluetooth to that thing and it broadcasts over an unused FM radio frequency. But it did this under IOS 8, 9 and 10 so I suspect it's the adapter. Works fine otherwise.

2012 Ford Focus w/ MyFordTouch here, I'm having this issue. It plays for a few minutes and then goes into "remix mode" where it skips/fast forwards until it finally goes silent even though it's still playing.

I just read that 10.1 Beta 3 seems to have fixed the issue.

I have the same problem. To me it seems data usage related. Connect via Bluetooth, play music/podcast, try using safari, nothing but skipping/pausing.
Interesting. I've had a similar issue, seems to occur when using nike running app, not happening when I close the app. Not sure yet if there is a connection yet but I think so.

To follow up....

This was an issue on the car end. Well documented, especially with Android users. To fix, you have to force restart the SYNC system by either pulling the related fuse or car battery.

Beta 3 doesn't fix the issue in my 2015 Ford Escape w/MFT. If I disable LTE in Settings and just use 4G, however, I don't get any stuttering or skipping with LTE off. Not a great "fix" but it'll work until Apple does something about this. They will, right? Right?!

Update the firmware on your Android stereo in your car. The dealer will do it for a fee.
