Has anyone ever experienced "bluetooth not available"?. I ended up solving the problem by restarting my computer 4 times, but its a bit of an inconvenience. Any one have any ideas what it could be caused by?

Mine is extra wonky

My white unibody MacBook is even worse. The periperphals would disconnect randomly and once it disconnects, it won't pair again even after reboot. I have to erase the device and start the pairing process again.

The BT is so wonky that once the disconnect happens, I would try to turn off and turn on. But the icon at the top would say off while the BT preference menu would have the "turn on" checkmark on. Of course, neither my iPhone nor my mouse would connect. Thus, I am not even sure if the Bluetooth is really on or off.

Have you tried to repair permissions in Disk Utility? Tried to reset the SMC? Just a few things you can do...
