Generally, i am able to wake my powerbook from sleep using my BT mouse, however sometimes moving the mouse doesn't have any affect. This means i have to i wake it using the power key and, having woken up, it then refuses to connect to my mouse or keyboard. If i then click on the bluetooth icon in the top menu and try to access BT preferences or turn BT off (in order to restart it), it crashes the top menu bar completely (i get the spinning beachball whenever i move my mouse over it). If I then want to use my BT keyboard or mouse I have to restart or shut down completely  and then it works fine (til it goes to sleep again:rolleyes: ).

I have repaired permissions numerous times to no avail and am running Tiger 10.4.2 with all the system/BT updates.

I used to have this problem with Panther 10.3.x but it seemed to have been ironed out in 10.3.9, which makes me think that maybe it is something that may be solved in 10.4.3? Is it just a matter of waiting or does anyone know a solution (beyond going back to usb)? thanks

Make sure in the System Preferences under Bluetooth that you have it set to where BT devices can wake up the computer. This probelm is supposed to be fixed with 10.4.3 - heck they have 550 bug fixes, which I've had 0 problems so yeah.
