Bluetooth does it work? limitations?

I cant get Ipad bluetooth to connect to any device. Not Macbook Pro, not Mac Mini, and not Iphone. Is this right that Ipad is not able to bluetooth to these devices...or is there something I don't know?

It think it's only for keyboards and headphones, my Sony Bluetooth set syncs fine, and the sound quality is actually better than my MacBook pro!

iPad won't play nice with Macs, but will have limited connectivity with most PCs. Some weird limitation Apple puts on their own devices
