My iPhone and handsfree earphone automatically connects flawlessly but for some reason my iPad needs to be manually connected each time I turn my engine on. It is paired and shows up as paired but it won'automatically connect. It does not make a difference if I have my iphone/earphone nearby or not.

Does anybody have any insight or suggestions how I can get my iPad to connect automatically?

Is the earpiece paired with more than one device? for example, i have a Jabra headset that is paired with both my BB and iPad and it will only automatically connect with the last device it was connected to. otherwise i need to manually connect it.

Thanks for replying. Yes, I have "forgotten" and "repaired" and shut down and restarted everything several times. And, all other devices are now "forgotten" and unpaired, still, my iPad needs to be manually connected (it's shows paired w/o problem) each time! It's currently the only paired device.

Im seeing the same problem....

i have an ipad and it simply will not connect automiatically to the iphone via bluetooth.
i have to establish the connection manually.
other devices, such as bluetooth keyboard just simply connect.

has anyone got any further with making this work.

fyi - i am not jailbroken on iphone or ipad, and dont really want to be.
