bluetooth file exchange

I'm trying to exchange a 2.5 gig file over bluetooth. I have it all set up and started to transfer the file however it just says:

Transferred: Calculated...........
Time Remaining: Calculated...........

It is a very large file to push over 1 MB/s if you're lucky.

Do you have any physical sort of transfer methods?
